Toy-Ventures Magazine Issue No. 8 with Cover Art by Yours Truly

I’ve been setting on this for a few months now, but Brian has let the bat out of the belfry so it’s all fair game. This was a great project to be a part of and I loved working with Brian on the cover. Please consider supporting Toy Ventures Magazine, if you are able to.

Moon Knight No. 1 1985 Cover, My Favorite?

Ever since I was fifteen, in 1985, I felt that this belonged in my favorite top one hundred covers. Yet every time I look at it closely the anatomy is wrong on MK. It is a slight, but very uncanny valley for me. The arms are a tad bit long, the hands are too large, and the head is just a bit too small. Those are the two main things that pop out to me. Even though it bugs me, it is still a favorite and takes me back to that time in my life when I was all in on comic book collecting.

Do you have a favorite cover that just feels off to you? Pop a comment down below and let’s discuss 🙂

Action Comics No. 434

Dentistry Action Comics: I revel in goofy comic book covers from bygone eras. Don’t be like Superman… don’t forget to floss, kids!

Comic Covers: The Micronauts #7 1979

Comic Covers: The Micronauts
Comic Covers: The Micronauts

Comic Covers: The Micronauts number seven from 1979… the cover tells a whole story. This cover was crafted by Michael Golden and Joe Rubinstein. The dynamic positions of Acroyer and Bug looking behind them at the looming snake is wonderful! The coloring could have been better, but that in no way takes away from the incredible action. I check some other scans of this issue and it seems that this one was digitally “touched up” which is why the coloring is blah.
