Batman No.1

Batman No.1 (1940)

That’s all. Just Batman number one. In nearly perfect condition. It contains the first appearance of both the Joker and the Cat, a.k.a. Catwoman.

The 1st Joker
The “Cat”
I just had to include this page… “Quiet or Papa Spank!” LMAO!

Batman: Caped Crusader, Down but Not Out

So, when it was reported that certain projects were scrapped it seems that they were scrapped for Warner/Discovery. They still can be shopped around to other streaming services. It doesn’t matter which one, I’ll find a way to watch it even if I don’t have access to the service… a starving artist can only afford so many streamers. The fact that this is another Bruce Timm project is all I needed to know, and it’s one that I am looking forward to. Hopefully it hits Netflix or Amazon, since those are the two services, I have other than Disney+… which it would never appear on.

These bubblegum cards are very charming. There is an innocence about them, and I enjoy the slightly off model designs of many of the characters. At one point Batman isn’t wearing any gloves. Part of the story? Who knows, but I adore it. The art stye feels Latin in origin.

Riddle Me This: I am the Best Riddler… ΒΏWho am I?

Yes, you are correct, dear viewer! It’s Frank Gorshin, of course. Frank brought a performance that was at eleven and is my favorite villain on the 1966 Batman series. I love his “wind-up” speeches, and his impish laugh. Nobody will top this for me.
