Former ComiXology head David Steinberger and a group of industry veterans have launched DSTLRY, a new comic book publisher prioritizing fair compensation, creative ownership, and creative control for comic creators.

Greetings, fellow nerds! There’s about to be a new comic book publisher in town. A group of industry veterans, including former ComiXology head David Steinberger, has launched a new comic book publisher called DSTLRY. What sets this publisher apart is its commitment to equity and fair treatment of comic creators.

DSTLRY aims to create a more equitable and diverse comic book industry by prioritizing fair compensation, creative ownership, and creative control for comic book creators. Steinberger stated that DSTLRY “was built with a focus on the creators and putting them at the center of everything we do.”

This approach is especially important given the history of exploitation and under-compensation of comic book creators. By prioritizing the rights and well-being of creators, DSTLRY hopes to set a new standard for the industry and pave the way for a more equitable future.

The publisher plans to launch several titles in the coming months, including “The Modern Frankenstein,” a reimagining of the classic horror story. We can’t wait to see what other exciting and innovative titles DSTLRY has in store for us.
