Pitch Black was a unique film from 2000, and it could easily have been forgotten. If it wasn’t for the really fun horror element and the low-key energy that Vin Diesel brought to the movie. The sequels, which I know I’ve seen yet cannot really recall the details of, were just “ok”. They were a standard hero flick fair, where the story is the same with only the settings being different, and far less memorable. I hope in the fourth installment they return to the franchises’ sci-fi horror roots.
