The Dark Tower: A Marketing Coup

The coup that was Dark Tower’s advertising campaign was incredibly well done. Having Orson Welles as your front man was perfect. Despite this, the game didn’t last long on the shelves. The membrane keypad design, as on other electronic items, didn’t stand up to years of usage and it usually the first part of the electronic game to fail. Working examples of this game will fetch a higher premium on the secondary market and even non-functioning, or incomplete games are expected, by the sellers, to garner a higher price as well… don’t fall for it. Save your money for a complete and functioning version. Learning some rudimentary electronic repair skills is also helpful when you venture into the ownership of older toys and games of this sort.
