At last! Beyond the movie! Beyond the galaxy! Pre-Empire, Marvel comics had some insanely creative stories. They seemed to have been given free rein on where they went. Post Empire those stories began to quickly become homogenized and more “in canon”. There were a few stories that were left over that were off the beaten path, but once those plotlines were gone things became a bit blander. Still good tales but less bantha poodoo crazy.
