May the Fourth Be With You.

Not being on social media, except for Instagram, seems to have both been a great move but also has created a hole in my being part of a community. This is even more apparent when there are days like this, May the 4th. What used to be a heavily planned out day for me, has just become a day. No longer seeing hundreds of posts proclaiming the day, it just doesn’t feel the same. I usually celebrate with some sort of Star Wars themed activity but I felt like doing that on the third, my birthday. Since 1978, the entire month of May has always been Star Wars month for me, and it still sort of is.

So celebrate the day with me, in your own way. Heck, you may not even like Star Wars and that’s cool too.

  1. Happy Star Wars Day! True, you get more of a buzz on social media sites, and I remember it was a fun event on the old forums. I might log into Twitter later to see what’s happening, but rarely use that site nowdays.

    1. I remember when my mornings were consumed with social media… now I actually get things done. Blogging, Designing, Illustrating, Posting items to sell on eBay and Etsy, plus I have time for comic books again. Although I still use SM sites for marketing, so I guess that’s a cheat… but I don’t actually go there to post anything so win-win.
