George Pérez is an icon and the “Big Two” owe quite a bit of their successes to his visual interpretations of their respective Multiverses. Submitted for your personal thoughts, are two tribute pieces that each company has commissioned. One is dark and dour, the other bright and celebratory. Funny thing about DC and Marvel publishing, each is they exact opposite of how they are presented in movie and television. Marvel’s tribute is more fitting for a respectful remembrance after the subject has passed. George, while he is terminal, is still with us and deserves to be celebrated. DC has embraced this celebration of the characters that have been made better by his talent. You be the judge.
