No Spoilers: As an ardent fan of X-Men, The Animated Series from 1992, my high-level opinion of this new title is… fun! There are a few call-backs to old 70s/80s Uncanny X-Men that I found very pleasing. As a continuation of X-Men ’92, this takes a few cues from the current comics with enough of the animated universe’s lore. Professor Xavier is closer to realizing his dream of homo sapien and homo superior living in harmony. The book is short, and contains a bit of a question for me. I’ll have to revisit the last set of X-Men ’92 books to see if I missed anything or if it is a new wrinkle. You’ll know it when you read it.

The book is short, an easy read and the art is crisp! I cannot wait until the next issue. In the meantime, I have some old stories to catch up on.

Mutantkind is taking a huge leap forward by founding their own nation on the island of Krakoa, guided by Professor X, Magneto, and a mysterious long-lived woman who knows more than she should. That’s right – the ’90s X-Men are tackling the Krakoan Age thirty years early… and it’s NOT going to go the way you expect!
