This is a really vibrant work. Love the background of orange against the grey and the foliage. I’ve been reading 1940s Phantom reprints today and have a post scheduled for tomorrow (Sunday) showing some of the cover art and ads. The Phantom is a cool and pioneering comic character no doubt.

I’ve always liked the phantom, but I can never quite put my finger on why. Maybe I’m a sucker for purple.
I dig the concept of legacy characters. The undying hero who, in reality hands the mantle down to another.
