Hornetroid by Ken Kelly. This is one of Ken’s works that is my absolute favorites. This could be because the toy is also a childhood favorite. I still have mine, and have yet to part with even though I should.

Hornetroid was the coolest of my Micronaut vehicles when I was a kid, with the possible exception of the Rocket Tubes. Thanks for the memory.
Ken Kelly is an amazing artist. He did some great covers for Warren Magazines in the 70s as well as KISS album covers – good post!
