Amazon Prime’s The Tomorrow War

Amazon Prime’s The Tomorrow War… Time travelers arrive from 2051 to deliver an urgent message: 30 years in the future mankind is losing a war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians to be transported to the future and join the fight. Determined to save the world for his daughter, Dan Forester teams up with a brilliant scientist and his estranged father to rewrite the planet’s fate.

I have friends who didn’t enjoy this movie from Amazon, but I found it entertaining. Not just mildly entertaining, but EMENSLEY entertaining. Reading some of the reviews is pretty insane… people’s political viewpoints are just on toxic display. I am here to have fun. From each spectrum, both sides were for and against this movie for its perceived political messages. We can all see what we want to see, and if we are addicted to the culture rage war then that’s how you view everything so having fun is out.

Being a person who doesn’t focus on similarities between multiple projects, I found this to be like some things and different too. There were combinations of tropes, but everything is a combination of something else by this point. The action was heavy, the stakes were high and so was the body count.

The aliens were pretty cool, and frightening. I am glad they didn’t lead with them… I can’t say more because I may give something away, and I don’t like to do that.

Basically all I can say about this is how much I enjoyed it. Anything else would be telling. I’ll leave it to you to seek this one out and discover whether you like if for yourself.
