Superman’s New Pal, Don Rickles?

Superman’s New Pal, Don Rickles? Don’t you just miss those bat-shit crazy days of yesteryear? I know I do. There was a fine balance between fun comics and “serious” comics. We’ve come a long way since those days, but perhaps we’ve gone too far. At least in the comics. There are very few examples of goofy fun books anymore. Everybody is concerned with events and continuity. I would love to see some sort of FOOM type of book again from Marvel, or DC starting up the Jimmy Olsen book again.
