As an aficionado of animation, or cartoon nerd if you must, this classic is is one of my all time favorites. I cannot believe that it is 52 years old this year. Yep, in 1966 the world was treated to this tale of Horror. OK, it’s not horrific, but it does tell an incredible tale of a World War One flying ace, which is one of my favorite parts of the show. As a cynical kid, it taught me that believing in something with all your heart won’t make it real. I also learned that life isn’t always fair or kind… wow, this is turing a bit dark. Yeah, the special can be a bit bleak, from a certain point of view, but it’s still very entertaining and a giant nostalgia shot.
It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
