So there was some surprise news from Marvel recently. They announced that the Fantastic Four would be making a return to the Marvel Universe proper. Everybody lost it. What did it mean? Many are saying that this confirms the FF film rights being returned to Marvel.

While I don’t doubt that outcome, I for one wasn’t surprised that the FF was going to get their own book again. I knew they were returning just as soon as I  picked up the first issue of Marvel Two in One. If you haven’t been reading this book, you really should. It is some of the best writing from Marvel right now, andthe art is top of the line.

The basic premise is that Ben (The Thing) Grimm, and Johnny (The Human Torch) Storm are traveling through the Multiverse, at the behest of Doctor Doom, to search for Reed and Susan Richards (Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman). Honestly, this is one of my favorite books produced.

I am looking forward to the return of Marvel’s first family. While I don’t expect it to be on the level on an older epic John Byrne story, I do expect big things to happen from Dan Slott.
