Hey Google, tell us what “Life Day” is.
Life Day was a Wookiee holiday celebrated by the inhabitants of Kashyyyk every three years. It was a celebration of the planet’s diverse ecosystem and the many forms of life it encompassed.
That is Life Day in a nutshell. The concept was awesome to me, as a child. The Great Pumpkin thing never panned out for extra gifts, but THIS had to be a winner! We didn’t have a lot so any extra fun tossed our way was a delightful bonus. Long story short, Life Day had as much of a chance around my household as gifts from the Great Pumpkin.
As an “adult”, Life Day is an excuse, ok ANOTHER excuse, to celebrate Star Wars and all of Geekdom. Don’t think I won’t. I already have shirt picked out for the day (at work) and will be celebrating life in my own way.
